What to Expect

DAY 1- Arrival Harare

On arrival you will be met by Breeze Africa Tour Guide and proceed with your transfer to  Hotel for Check in City Tour:City tour- Depending on the time, experience the sensation of the African warmth as you explore the city of Harare. The capital city of Zimbabwe popularly known as the Sunshine city. Harare still resembles a frantic liveliness unique only to urban Africa. The city tour will include a visit to the queen Victoria Museum of human science which offers an in-depth showcase of anthropology and archaeology from the Stone Age into the Iron Age.Of particular interest there is the display of the seven hundred year old Lemba artefact Ngoma Lungundu. This fourteenth century drum is believed to be the oldest wooden artefact ever to be found in sub Saharan Africa. You will also get acquainted with Zimbabwe’s collection of indigenous plant species over an area spreading to almost 700 hectares at the Botanical Gardens.

Day 2 Harare -Masvingo

Day 2 begins with breakfast after which is followed by a road transfer to Masvingo – Great Zimbabwe {approximately 3 hrs. drive} Lunch and Dinner at Ancient city lodge or similar.(own Account)

AFTERNOON TOUR OF THE GREAT ZIMBABWE

Travel back in time as you explore the home to the Shona speaking people who prospered between the 12th and the 15th century, the Great Zimbabwe monument was built using dry stone technique entirely without mortar involving millions of stones supporting each other. It is Africa’s second largest stone built archaeological site after the Pyramids in Egypt and has been UNESCO’S world heritage site since 986. Day 3  Masvingo -Matobo

After breakfast brace for a road transfer tour to Matopos National park which is rich in cultural history  resembled in numerous cultural and historical sites. The  park covers a total  area of  44 500 hectares and is home to a substantial number of the white rhino , a rare species in the whole world.

Day 4 Matobo

Today  you will explore the outstanding collection of rock paintings  which are too hard to ignore. Matobo National park is also the burial place of Cecil John Rhodes and Mzilikazi, the great Ndebele king. The sunset at Rhodes grave is definitely a scene to be captured . You will also be able to do rhino trekking.

Day 5 Matobo -Hwange

After breakfast embark on a road trip to Hwange National Park. On arrival you will have a nap as you prepare for an afternoon game drive in the Hwange National park which is the largest park in Zimbabwe occupying about 14 650square kilometers. It became the royal hunting ground for king Mzilikazi in the early 9th century and was set as a national park in 1929. Enjoy an afternoon game drive and as you drive through the park you will get the chance to encounter some of the remarkable selection of wildlife with various species of mammals and  birds recorded. The Hwange National Park elephant population is one of the largest in the world.

Day 6 Hwange- Victoria Falls

After breakfast enjoy the early morning game drive and proceed on a mid-morning road transfer trip to Victoria Falls. You will have a brief roadside stopover  at the Painted Dog Conservation to get acquainted with the how the Sanctuary has been working to protect the local painted dog population here in Zimbabwe for over two decades through their anti-poaching units’ rehabilitation facility and pack monitoring systems(donation payment recommended).  As you proceed to Victoria Falls there is also an opportunity to drive past Hwange Colliery Mine. On arrival in Victoria Falls you check in and still have the time for lunch ,freshening up and book from a wide variety of optional activities as you await  leisure your Zambezi River Sunset Cruise(Own Account). (2hrs) which is undoubtedly a breath-taking way to relax as you take pleasure in the amazingly glorious glamour of the indomitable Zambezi River. Here your camera comes in handy  in capturing great photo opportunities against him often razzle dazzling African sunset. It won’t be cruise enough without an assemblage of birds gliding the waterline as the sun twilights at the rear of the African Horizon. The river and its banks are generous enough in offering superb spots of variety of game: including elephants, crocodiles, and hippos as well as enjoy the many distinct bird species: a cherry on top. Day 7- Victoria Falls

Hotel pick up will be at 8:30am. You have undoubtedly had a chance to relax and enjoy your sumptuous breakfast. You are in for a real treat as you go on board on a guided tour of the superbly nature-crafted Victoria Falls. The raging waters of the Zambezi River will definitely leave you yearning for more as they out pour into the famous Batoka Gorge. The whole tour will carry you through the segments of the Victoria Falls rain forest to the cliffs opposite the titanic waterfall. From that standpoint you will be rewarded with the non-peril view of the main falls. Day 8  Chobe Botswana

What a superb plan to conclude your exciting adventure around Zimbabwe. The Chobe National Park tour begins with pickup from your hotel in Victoria Falls. Our professional tour guide will make border crossing into Botswana effortless. As soon as you cross, look out for animals like hippos, flamingos and aquatic birds in their natural habitat. The wildlife cruise will be followed by a hearty lunch provision at a riverfront restaurant (Included.) To sum it all is an afternoon Game Drive in the Chobe National Park on a safari vehicle. You will gladly return to your hotel in Victoria Falls at the end of the tour.
Day 9- Departure
